Kellie Budd focuses her practice on corporate transactions, civil litigation and employment law. Kellie has extensive experience assisting start-ups, small and medium businesses at various growth stages, with different ownership structures, and across many industries. Kellie partners with clients to review and compose legal documents in a timely and efficient manner.  These documents include: company policies, procedures, employee handbooks, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, memorandum of understandings, letter of intents, commercial leases and other transaction agreements.  Kellie further represents, negotiates and drafts employment, non-compete, and separation agreements on behalf of her clients, and advises business clients as either sellers or buyers in acquisition, merger and disposition transactions.

In her litigation practice, Kellie has represented numerous individuals and companies in diverse litigation matters in State and Federal Court, before the Virginia Supreme Court and in various administrative hearings at the County and State level. Her litigation experience includes advocating on behalf of a contractor in a multi-million dollar dispute, representing homeowners against HOAs, litigating enforcement of non-compete agreements, and resolving partnership and shareholder disputes. She further represents employees in sexual harassment, discrimination, wrongful discharge and retaliation cases.

Kellie received her law degree from George Mason University School of Law and is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is licensed to practice in Virginia. Kellie is a member of the Fairfax Bar Association, having served as Chair of its Judicial Screening Committee, and is a former President of the Northern Virginia Black Attorney’s Association.  She teaches courses to attorneys and other professionals on contract drafting and related business law matters.
