George Doumar has over 35 years of experience litigating and trying commercial cases in Virginia and District of Columbia Courts, in the following practices areas of contract disputes, employment matters, breach of duty and non-competes, including other areas. George’s practice manages complex litigation through the Commonwealth of Virginia, with clients from Tidewater to the I-81 corridor. George also provides advice and contract drafting for corporate transactions, employment agreements and other corporate documents. In addition to his business litigation practice, George has represented a variety of unique Washington, D.C.- oriented clients in civil matters, such as a consultant sued by former President Donald Trump, protestors and protest groups sued civilly, non-profits providing humanitarian assistance overseas, and foreign service officers in various administrative and civil service matters. George began practicing law in 1986 with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, a multinational law firm. In 2003, George founded Doumar Law Group, which became Doumar Martin in 2009. He has been quoted in the Washington Post, appeared on CNN’s “Burden of Proof,” and featured in various news reporting from time to time. George has earned a Martindale-Hubblell “A” Rating at www.martindale.com for over 20 years. An avid runner, George has run nine marathons and over 100 half-marathons since 2006, most recently the Berlin Marathon in September 2022. He continues to be a regular participant at D.C. area 5K and 10K weekend events. George has four great adult children who continue to make him proud every day.
